About Me

Hi! I’m Kitiara

author and travel writer

Hello – I’m a British freelance writer originally from hampshire and now based in devon.

I write primarily about adventures in the great outdoors, be that here in the UK, out in the Atacama or deep in a jungle. I love to talk about the connection we have with the natural world and I strive to inspire others to get out into the wild more often.

In 2014 I left the UK on a small boat with my partner and sailed over 18,000 miles around the Atlantic and Caribbean. I was 25 when I left and I’d never sailed before.

My journalism and articles has appeared in The Guardian, Yachting MonthlySurfGirl, Matador Network, PopSugar and Rad Girls Collective. I also work as a travel content and copywriter.

My first book was published by Fernhurst Books this year and is a deeply personal travel memoir. Read more about In Bed with the Atlantic here.

If you are looking to commission me as a journalist or a brand looking to collaborate then please do get in touch.

I also work as a ghostwriter and travel copywriter over at The Literary Lifeboat
