Video: Cycling up Haldon Hill

Even small hills become big hills when you're on a bike and Haldon Hill is no small hill. Lorries crawl up it, campervans overheat on it and even sports car drivers probably lean forward a little. And that's the A-road. The back way up Haldon, the one us cyclists use, makes the A38 look easy.

Haldon looms on my horizon, blocks me from exploring immediately west and I can see it from my home. Given that we can't drive anywhere unnecessary during lockdown, it seemed like a perfect time to take on this behemoth.

So I did.
